The over 5,000 volumes are separated by reading level, as well as topic area. The large room is also the perfect setting for after school activities including chess/checkers club, nature club, and mind games.

OHA Library

A full-time librarian helps with electronic book check-out, maintenance of current materials, and instruction in the use of the library. Students in grades PreK-4 visit with the librarian once per week. During this library class, she introduces them to various authors and genres, reads to them, aides them in finding materials, and checks out their books. Students in grades 5-8 visit the library regularly with their reading and history classes. In fact, eighth grade students are required to do a weekly log sheet on reference material. The goal of the library program is to make connections with the curriculum in the classroom and inspire a lifetime love of reading.
